Detroit Artists Market hosts exhibition openings and special events. Special events include film screenings, music and dance, fashion shows, lectures, etc! The gallery specializes in presenting new works by metro Detroit artists in such mediums as painting, sculpture, glass, ceramics, photography and jewelry.
Eastern Market
Eastern Market is where Detroit goes to shop for fresh produce. For everything from luscious and colorful farm fresh fruits and vegetables to meat products (beef, pork, lamb, poultry, geese, duck and rabbit) to herbs and spices, nuts, candies and a variety of condiments and all are supplied by the retailers and wholesalers spread over this 43-acre area. This market has got everything you are looking for including a really great atmosphere! The public farmers market is open on Saturdays only, but most of the businesses in the area are open six days a week (Monday - Saturday). The Market is closed on Sunday except for special events such as the Annual Flower Day, held each year on the Sunday after Mother's Day and Detroit Lions Tailgating.

Design 99 is Hamtramck's own design depot, interior design firm, art gallery and retail art shop rolled into one.
